On June 2, the Associated Press reported that ten men were arrested by Spanish police officers on the suspicion of illegally possessing war weapons, in addition to an array of vintage firearms from the Spanish Civil War and World War II. Many of these weapons were still in working condition, according to Spain’s Interior Ministry. Possession of these types of weapons is illegal in Spain, and collectors are required to make sure their items have been certified as unusable by the government. In addition, a number of archeological artifacts, also illegally owned, were seized by the police.
